Dr. Lo is a Hong Kong national who speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English. He has Over 20 years of human resources management experience with US and European multi national companies. He has residential experience in both North and South China.
He is highly well versed in legal application of in human resources management in China. He is rounded human resources professional with the added expertise in training and development.
He has a strong business acumen coupled with the maturity to foster the business and people successes.
He is an expert in human resources audits and training. He is well known in Hong Kong for his community service. He has had a number of papers published in Hong Kong.
PETER ROSE – Partner
Peter Rose is a semi retired Senior Consultant. Peter spent 15 years working with the Industrial Society, the UK’s leading training and consultancy business. Prior to working with the Industrial Society Peter held a series of General Management positions with Chemical companies in the UK with thirty years experience. Peter is an advisor to both consultancies and under exceptional circumstances he can be available.
He is an author of a number of books and broadcaster on aspects of management. He has very wide ranging management experience drawn from many wide ranging projects including some at governmental level.
He has wide knowledge of Health and Safety and Employment Law legislation in Europe, Hong Kong and China.
GIL MASSARA – Partner
Gilbert (Gil) Massara’s earlier career was in the retail, distribution and logistics industry sectors. A considerable amount of his time was spent in general management and this has given him experience in the effects of “Constant Change” and the need for strong leadership and multilevel staff communications.
Following his later move into Training and Development for internationally recognised organisations, again with a bias to Leadership, Teamwork, Communications and Personal Development; Gil now runs his own learning consultancy where personal coaching for managers a key strength. He also advises on general business and management issues with a strong bias to helping clients reach pragmatic solutions. Also publishing books on Management and Business issues is a growing activity that supports the development of people at work.
JOHN TWIST – Director Causeway Consulting
Originally from an engineering background John Twist changed career after 15 years to become a recruitment professional when he bought a small local UK employment agency. In the early 1980Õs agencies did not supply an executive search service to local companies; as a result what had started out as a ÒHigh StreetÓ agency diversified into a far broader concern. Eventually; tired of the vagrancies of the British economy John sold his company to a Òworld leaderÓ and followed family connections to Hong Kong initially for a birthday party! What started out as a short celebration ended in him building an executive search and selection career in Greater China that has covered the last 15 years. The current episode of the saga has been the forming of Causeway Consulting Ltd a Hong Kong based generalist executive search company that concentrates on building sound long lasting relationships with both clients and applicants.
James Rand – President Sales & Marketing Asia Pacific
James is a UK national with 20 years’ working experience in Mainland China (PRC), which includes 3 years in the timber industry. His experience in China covers general management, marketing / sales, and manufacturing. He has previously held down GM / MD positions with full profit and loss responsibility in both WOFE and J-V Companies.
He is very fluent in Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese) – written and spoken. He is also fluent in Japanese and Thai, and of course English, which is his mother tongue.
His production experience is balanced between machine-intensive low-volume high-tech capital goods manufacture and labour-intensive high-volume high-mix consumer products manufacturing. He has successfully managed 3 green-field start-ups and 1 turn-around in China.
He has opened up brand new domestic and export markets for 3 Companies in China. He also has good experience in management consultancy and executive recruitment, Lean Manufacturing, 6-Sigma, and ISO 9001/14001 certification, and a good knowledge of labour, health and safety, and customs regulations in China. He is very experienced in liaising with government officials and top executives, and has worked in every province and autonomous region in China.
Jeff Beskin, President of Wood Co. LLC
Jeff has over 35 years experience in the home furnishings industry; ranging from retail sales, to sourcing materials for manufacturing, to designing for hotels. He has owned retail furniture stores in the suburbs of Los Angeles for the past 20 years; as well as the President and CEO of American Far East Trading Company.
At American Far East Trading Company, Jeff has been sourcing materials for the Home Furnishing Industry as well as the Health and Beauty Industry. Jeff has been instrumental in bringing groups together from the United States to explore China’s many business opportunities, including real estate. He has had offices in the Dongguan providence in Southern China for the past 10 years. Jeff has a good understanding of the Chinese language, as well as the Chinese culture and business environment and how they interact.
Jeff is an American citizen, a student from the Woodbury Business College of Los Angeles with studies in international sales and marketing; as well as a advocate for the millions who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis, with his efforts in chairing the Annual MS Golf Tournament for more than 5 years.
